DB ARK connecting to Chetnalaya (Mukundpur) for PY-YAR MovementNov. 16. ``Love is a beautiful thing, it enriches the soul and makes a heart sing....!`` ``That`s why we all have decided in today`s meeting at Chetnalaya in Mukundpur (New Delhi), that we`re going to bring the change in the society which is possible only with ``Love``. Hence we all support this project called PY-YAR``. DB ARK successfully completed the third phase of its innovative program Voice Of Children (VOC-3) at Don Bosco Animation and Research Kendra (DB ARK), Okhla, New Delhi. `Voice of Children (VOC)` is a revolutionary concept developed in a special program by DB ARK and its Director, Fr. Joe Arimpoor, sdb based on the experience of working with the Young at Risk. It is a well-planned and designed intervention aimed at helping the children to identify their ``brokenness`` and accompany them to ``wholeness``. This `Passage to Wholeness` program is planned in six phases of VOC-1 to VOC-6. This month DB ARK completed the third phase, VOC-3, for 63 children in three batches; two for the boys, and one for the girls, of Don Bosco Ashalayam and Snehalaya centres of New Delhi. Don Bosco Animation & Research Kendra (DB ARK) commenced Bosco Volunteer Corps (BVC) Certification with its first batch of volunteers getting BVC Violet Volunteer Certificate after receiving one credit which is equal to 30 hours of Volunteer Service. The certification ceremony was held in Don Bosco Provincial House, New Delhi where Fr. Provincial gave certificates to Mr. Utsav Jha, Ms. Sonal Bisherwal and Mrs. Swati Singh. At this occasion Fr. Joe Arimpoor, Director of DB ARK, explained the significant roles played by these volunteers in the VOC & PY-YAR projects of street children at Ashalayam, New Delhi, and Snehalaya, Chandigarh. These two programs are especially designed for the YAR by DB ARK. There were more than 20 Rectors and Leaders of the communities of Delhi Province present during this ceremony on 20th August 2011. Convent School students from August 16th to 19th 2011 at Greater Noida Uttar Pradesh, India. Around 390 students participated in the programme from standards 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Mr. Jose James, Mr. Vipin Kishore Kujur, Mr. Zacharias Tirkey and Ms. Nirmala Rachel Joy made up the DB ARK team. This package of youth animation (life giving) programme aims to help the students to go through the process of Discovering, Developing and Deploying themselves in relation to Self, Others and God - hence a 3-D Program. The final hours of the Pilgrimage of Don Bosco`s relic to Delhi Province were spent in Don Bosco Technical Institute, Okhla, New Delhi, coinciding with the Ruby celebration of the institute. It was attended by a devout gathering estimated to be 4500. This gathering included His Excellency Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, Apostolic Nuncio in India, Archbishop Vincent Concessao, Archbishop of Delhi and the Auxiliary Bishop, Rt. Rev. Franco Mulakal, Rt. Rev. Gratian Mundadan, Bishop Emeritus of Bijnor and Episcopal Vicar for Syro-Malabar Christians and more than 70 Priests. Other Dignitaries were His excellency Mr.Pierre Vaesen, Ambassador of Belgium, the Hourable Vice-chancellors of Jamia Milia University, and Hamdard Univerity. The long awaited day dawned on 2nd August 2011 with the arrival of the sacred relic our Father and Founder St. John Bosco, to Don Bosco, Kauli, where his followers had made their presence since 1992. He was accorded a grand welcome at Don Bosco, main gate in a Punjabi traditional way by Bangra dancers and by bishops, priests, religious, parishioners, staff, students and the local people. Over 2000 people flocked to receive his blessings with shouts of ``Don Bosco amar rahe ... Don Bosco Sasikar (welcome) ... Don Bosco we love you!`` The interactive sessions and the familiarity that pervaded the gathering made one feel a close affinity to the style of the traditional get-together that Don Bosco used to organize for his boys. A motorcade of ten vehicles lead the van transporting the sacred relics of Don Bosco from Holy Child Auxilium School, RK Puram, as it journeyed through the VIP roads of New Delhi, capital of India, on 30th July at 4.00 p.m. Its destination for the evening was Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gol Dak Khana. Fr. Maria Susai, parish priest and his co-pastors and about two hundred faithful of the city gave a ceremonial welcome to Don Bosco`s relic with incense and short prayer. It was, then, taken into the Cathedral in a procession where after placement, Fr. Michael Peedikayil, Provincial of Salesian Province of New Delhi, Fr. Maria Susai and Sr. Lisa Kalathil SMI Provincial honoured Don Bosco by placing bouquets of flowers at the casket. Then it was time for the faithful to pay their homage to the defender of the Church.
