Virtual Course for Teachers (VCT) at SHC, Tirupattur

An online course on Cooperative Learning and Educational Technology in Higher Education. First Batch of 14 students from 4 colleges of Tamil Nadu (Sacred Heart College - Tirupattur, Don Bosco College - Dharmapuri, BIIT - Yellagiri Hills, Auxilium college, Vellore) have successfully completed the online course. The viva was conducted on 5th April at BIIT, Yellagiri Hills. All the 14 participants presented their final assignment for evaluation and successfully completed the online course.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY FOR THE NIGHT SCHOOL CHILDREN - DON BOSCO EGMORE

Don Bosco Egmore was colouful today with 450 smiling children of the neighbourhood. The Night School Children had their Annual Sports Day followed by a Cultural Evening, today. (28.08.2010)

INAUGURATION OF BOSCO MEDIA CLUB, DON BOSCO-EGMORE HELD ON 27.08.2010

The Bosco Media Club shortly termed as BMAC was inaugurated in the A.V Hall by Rev. Fr. Glorious Steve SDB, Editor & Publisher of Arumbu and Don Bosco publications. He also holds several prestigious portfolios like South Asian delegate for Social Communication, Executive Committee Member of ICPA (Indian Catholic Press Association) and a member of World Advisory Council called ``CONSULTA``. He is a Gold Medalist in Journalism from Mysore University. The Club was inaugurated in the dynamic presence of our beloved Principal Rev. Fr. Stanley Ignatius SDB.

FR. KLEMENT VACLAV - THE COUNCILLOR ON A MISSION...

Rev. Fr. Klement Vaclav, General Councillor for Missions visits the Province of Chennai from 24th to 26th August 2010. Arriving in Chennai on 24th at 10.30am, he was welcomed by Fr. Stanislaus Swamikannu, the Provincial. Paying his respects and wishes to the local Salesian Archbishop, Most Rev. Dr. A.M. Chinnappa, the councillor reached the community of Citadel around 12.15 pm and was extended a warm and cordial welcome.

Don Bosco Egmore Alumni Independence Day Special, Inter-Batch Crocker Tournament held on 15th August 2010

6 Teams and nearly 100 past pupils came together on August 15th, 2010 for the DBPL 2.0, the Inter-Batch Crocker Tournament. Rev. Fr. Stanley Ignatius SDB, the Principal welcomed the teams and wished them all success. His message to the past pupils of Don Bosco-Egmore was to carry on with their spirit of encouragement as always and at all times.

Sports Day in St. Dominic Savio Matriculation School, Santhome

The Annual sports day of St. Dominic Savio Matriculation School, Santhome was celebrated on the 13th August, 2010 in St. Bede`s ground. Sports play a vital role in the enhancement of one`s personality as exercise and entertainment. Playing sports acts as a beautiful blend of recreation and physical activity. It is a combination of both enjoyment and exercise. Hence in all the Salesian school and colleges we celebrate the sports day to encourage our students to benefit from them.

An evening with a difference for the Staff of Don Bosco, Egmore, Chennai held on 14.08.2010

The evening of 14th August at DB-Egmore was an extravaganza filled with the spirit of Joy and laughter as the Staff members webbed together as a family to celebrate the scenario of togetherness.

SPORTS DAY @ Sacred Heart College

The annual Sports day in Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur began at 10.00 am on 13th August 2010. Students of various departments prepared their tents very creatively in keeping to the year`s title ``A Healthy and a balanced Diet``. Dr. R. Rajasekaran, the controller of examinations of Thiruvalluvar University was the chief guest of the day. Rev. Fr. Maria Soosai, the Principal delivered the inaugural address and the chief guest declared the sports meet open.
